Honey Eucalyptus 28gr

Eucalyptus Honey from Mieli Thun is produced during the Months of July and August in Southern Italy. It has a delicious aroma with notes of licorice and smoke with complex notes of dried porcini mushrooms.

Enjoy this honey with cheeses like fresh goat cheese, sweet gorgonzola. Also use this honey in the kitchen to garnish risotto or shrimps.

Location of Bees: Lazio, Campania, Sardegna, Sicily, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria.

Company History:

The story begins in the summer of 1921, when impassioned beekeeper Andrea Paternoster started producing his own honey in his home in the northern region of Trentino-Alto Adige. He found that, after exclusively pollinating flowers in the nearby Italian Alps, his bees produced an exquisite honey. Andrea began experimenting with different flowers, and Mieli Thun was born.

Today, Andrea’s grandson leads Mieli Thun, and he is indebted to his grandfather for his first and last name, in addition to an infinite love for honey and beekeeping. His team of nomadic beekeepers continues to wander the hillsides and fields of Italy, carefully following seasons of dozens of different types of flowers and seeking local colonies of bees.
