The Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP from Toschi is obtained by the union of the high quality cooked grapes must and wine vinegars. This Gold Label is aged in small oak barrels for up to 3 years! It contains no added caramel.

According to the European Certification the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP must always made with cooked grape must and wine vinegar. It must be made with a minimum of 20% cooked grape must and a minimum of 10% of wine vinegar (with a wine vinegar that is aged at least 10 years). The ratio of the two ingredients varies among products and producers.

The Gemma Nera Golden Label is made with more cooked grape must compared to wine vinegar which is the reason why the aftertaste is sweeter and less sour.

Density: Medium-light.

Flavor: Sweet and sour well balanced, it is round, aromatic with a nice velvety taste. Sharp, highly distinctive and unforgettable bouquet.

Company History:

The Toschi company was established in 1945 in Vignola near Modena, when Giancarlo and Lanfranco Toschi first dipped the famous Vignola cherries ito alcohol to preserve them and enjoy them all year around. After 65 years Toschi expanded the product line to syrup and Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP.
