Borsari’s special edition of the classic Pandoro cake is filled with luscious Limoncello cream, for a citrusy kick. Excellent on its own, pandoro is traditionally sprinkled with powdered sugar, to resemble the snow on the mountains.
In 1903, Tiziano Golfetti opened the first pastry laboratory in Verona and called it Borsari, in honor of the famous Borsari Roman gate of Verona, the homeland of Pandoro. Here he started selling his creations: soft and fragrant pandoro, panettone, and colomba.
