In 1907 in Castellazzo Bormida, Giovanni Battista Giraudi started his business with just a mill and an oven for bread-making. During the 1960s, Giraudi took over the Bar Vittoria, owned by pastry chef Paolino Boidi, in the centre of Alessandria and started to test different recipes with chocolate. This is where Giraudiaâ„¢s famous products such as the Mandrugnin, Croccantelli and Amaretti were born. In 1982, Giacomo Boidi, the nephew of the chocolatier Giraudi and of the pastry chef Boidi, connected both arts, becoming the Giraudi Pasticceriaâ„¢ owner.Perfect with an afternoon coffee or tea, as well as with a glass of red wine.
